UPCOMING EVENTS
November 9, 2024, Beau Books will be sold at vendor prices at the Authors, Artisans & Crafters Expo from 10 am to 1 pm est. It will be held at the H. Grady Bradshaw Library. The address is 3419 20th Avenue, Valley, AL 36854.
Beau Books will be represented by No, Beau! and Beau's Lost Stick at the New York Library Association on November 6-9, 2024! Please wish us luck. This is a big deal to expose Beau Books to as many people as possible. I know Beau Books are loved by children and are very beneficial so I am working hard to get these books in the hands of all children.

The Valley Arts Council Fall Into The Holidays Show on November 2-3, 2024 was a great success. Many books were sold, wonderful new people were met, and old friends visited.
Beau's Thankful Book, the sixth story book of the Beau Book series, was published October 31, 2024 just in time for Thanksgiving. Thankful people are the happiest people. Find out what Beau thinks...
On October 24, No, Beau! was honored to be a gold award recipient from Mom's Choice Children's Book Awards!
On October 22, Becky A gave a Beau Books presentation at the Garden Club Luncheon at Johnny's Pizza in West Point, GA.

On October 9, Beau and Becky A did Story Time for the 5 and Under group at the Harris County Public Library in Hamilton, Georgia. It was wonderful meeting with terrific parents and smart children. As usual, Beau was charming and his story entertained!
Alane Duncan, Beau, and Becky A had a great time sharing Beau Books at Exodus Academy in Lanett, AL on August 27, 2024. The students were polite and so involved! After my presentation, two sisters told me they are going to write and illustrate a chlldren's book about their cat and the title rhymes! I am looking forward to seeing their book!
Beau's Lost Stick was just published August 7, 2024. The adventure takes place on Lake Harding where Beau lives and promotes the proverb that actions speak louder than words. Get the whole collection! Perfect for bedtime, story time, or just anytime!

Story Tales and Hay Bales at Jubilee Farm in Opelika was so much fun on August 3rd!

The Home Grown Words Local Author Fest at Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers on June 8, 2024 was a great success! It was wonderful to meet new people and share my No, Beau! story with little ones! It was great to sell Beau Books at the event! i am proud to announce that Beau Books are now on the shelf at this outstanding book store on E Magnolia Street in Auburn, Alabama.
Brave Beau became international within a month of publication! Two hardcovers were sold in Germany and one in the United Kingdom.
No, Beau! sold again in Japan in May.
No, Beau! and Beau's Christmas Time were selected as finalists in the Literary Global Children's Book Awards! No, Beau! was chosen for finalist in five categories which were:
Bedtime, Best Cover Design, Children's Literature, Educational and Picture Book.
Beau's Christmas Time was selected as a finalist the the Religous category.
What a great honor! So very pleased.
Beau Books are always sold at Theresa's Cut N Corner at vendor prices on Highway 29 in Beulah, Alabama.
Beau Books were at the Valley Arts Council Spring Art Show on April 27th and 28th. It was such a fun event. Brave Beau's first reading was there with a vendor's son who officially approved!
Beulah Family Day was a great day on April 13th. It was good to meet neighbors and share Beau Books.
Beau loved the Renaissance Festival in Fairburn, Georgia on April 20th. We got to visit my cousins, Paula and Lee Vester and he got to meet a new friend in a cool outfit!
On April 22, Alane Duncan, Beau and I visited Handley Middle School in Roanoke, Alabama. Becky A talked to all the fourth graders about careers in writing, illustrating and marketing. Alane and Beau did a "Meet and Greet" and we made many new friends!
Beau made a personal appearance at Handley High School on Thursday, March 21st. Alane Duncan, Becky A and Beau spent a delightful, fun afternoon with the wonderful students and teachers in the beautiful library at the invitation of the high school librarian, Mrs. Leslie Seiffert. She was a gracious hostess and the students were so polite and attentive. Becky A got to share two of Beau's books. Making new friends leaves us all with warm feelings.
The Amelia Island Book Festival was just wonderful! It is so organized and friendly and it is very clear that the people in this area love and support reading. Alane and I had a great time, sold some books and decided to come back next year!
The Alabama School Library Association Conference was a great success! I met many wonderful people and got to share information about Beau Books. Aubie, the Auburn mascot, was there and I met wonderful new people from the Columbus Area Library Association. They put me on their Facebook page!
2023 in review
Becky A spoke to the delightful patrons of Coffee and Doughnuts With An Author at the Foley, Alabama Public Library on December 27, 2023. She spoke on the Joys and Challenges of Self Publishing and The Origin of the Beau Books.

November 14, 2023 was a great day! Alane Duncan, Beau and Becky A got to visit Mrs. Letson's first grade class at Fairfax Elementary in Valley, Alabama. Becky A read "No, Beau!" and Mrs. Duncan and Beau entertained the class while they colored a page from Beau's coloring book. Thank you, Mrs. Letson, for letting us visit!

The Autumn Leaves Art Show at Valley, Alabama Sportsplex on September 23-24 was a great success! Beau even got a ribbon!

Beau was represented at the Imagination Story Festival in Enterprise, AL on June 10, 2023 during a Story Time activity. Books were sold at the Story Time Tent. Met lots of great people who love reading.

Story Hour with Beau at the Bay Minette Library on June 20, 2023 was a great success! Becky A read "No, Beau!" and Beau was a shining star with everyone, especially the children.

Beau's Christmas Time won Finalist in the Religious category of Literary Global Children's Book Awards in 2024.
Brave Beau was published April 8, 2024. It is a great easy reader in which Beau deals with anxiety issues like being afraid of noises in the dark and learning to swim. The illustrations are the best yet! It became international within the first month of being published!
